Starting from 1922, with the idea of examining the developments that have taken place until today, the content of the course: Basic Concepts of Turkish Foreign Policy, 1919-1923 War of Independence, 1923-1939 Relative Independent Foreign Policy Period, 1939-1945 II. World War and Turkish Foreign Policy, 1945-1960 Cold War and Turkish Foreign Policy in Multi-Party System Dynamics, Turkish Foreign Policy in the Shadow of the 1960-1980 Coups, 1980-1990 Tension in the Middle East, Globalization, End of the Cold War and Turkish Foreign Policy, 1990-2001 Turkish Foreign Policy Between Central Asia, Middle East and Western Bloc, 2001-… A New Single Party Era: Turkish Foreign Policy in the AKP Period.

The aim of this course is to examine the formation process of Turkish foreign policy and its developments until today from the perspective of political history. In this general framework, an analytical perspective on the graduate level in the framework of the cause-effect relationship by focusing on internal and external factors shaping Turkey's foreign policy from the War of Independence to the present day. This point of view is aimed to include important gains in theory, especially for political historians who want to specialize in foreign policy.
