Course Content
Basic concepts of developmental psychopathology Normal developmental stages of children Emotional and behavioral behavior of infants, children and adolescents assessment Ethical principles in child and adolescent psychology. mental retardation and learning difficulties pervasive developmental disorders attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder Conduct Disorder, oppositional defiant disorder Expulsion disorders anxiety disorders Depression Eating Disorders (pica, rumination, anorexia, bulimia, obesity) Major disorders in children and adolescents prevention and intervention approaches
Objectives of the Course
Selected topics will be reviewed in major disorder categories according to DSM 5. It is aimed that students who successfully complete the course will be able to establish the basic diagnoses in behavioral disorders and formulate the etiology of their diagnosis according to different psychology theories.
