Course focuses on basic grammar; four basic skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking), and vocabulary
Objectives of the Course
- Grammar and vocabulary knowledge at basic level -To be able to understand reading and listening passages at basic level and answer the related questions - To be able to communicate orally or in writing at basic level

1 Introduction to the course Talking about the course content and informing the students about the course materials, Revision of the previous term
2 Simple past form of verb to be. Dates and time phrases. Listening to interesting facts about famous peoples' lives. Describing favorite childhood things.
3 Simple past tense, life story collocations. Reading about time twins and doing the related exercises. Talking about past events in life.
4 Comparatives and travel adjectives. Reading a quiz about travel and talking about holidays.
5 Superlatives and vocabulary on places. Reading an article about a bike tour across Asia. Listening to a conversation with a traveller and talking about a long journey.
6 Present continuous tense. Reading research about language that people use on social networking site and talking about what people are doing.
7 Review and exam preparation
8 The differences between simple present tense and present continuous tense. Vocabulary on appearance. Listening to people talk about actors and talking about what smo wears.
9 can/can't & have to/ don't have to. Reading an article about Mexico city's EcoBici and talking about transport in different cities.
10 articles and transport collocations. Reading about transport in different places. Listening to a man talk about travelling for free and talking about types of transport.
