Approaches that try to explain the factors that are effective in voting behavior of voters and their preference for a particular party or candidate. This course covers the basic principles of political communication. Important concepts of the political public relations discipline such as political marketing, crisis communication, media relations, ethics, strategic management, campaign planning are examined. The course examines the main theories of political public relations and how they are applied. It also deals with political advertising, propaganda lobbying and campaign design. The aim of the course is to describe the institutionalization and transformation of political communication in liberal democracies by considering political communication with its mainstream and critical dimensions in the historical development process.
