Physiotherapy and rehabilitation can be applied in many fields of medicine; It is a branch of science in which scientific evidence-based evaluation and physiotherapy-rehabilitation approaches are applied by physiotherapists to improve and maintain the functional status as much as possible after diseases that cause movement deficiencies, painful conditions, old age, injuries and dysfunctions. Physiotherapists perform practices with the aim of improving the function of musculoskeletal system disorders and improving the quality of life of the individual with multi-faceted physiotherapy approaches, and make measurements and evaluations specific to the person's profession in cases of congenital disabilities and pain and dysfunctions caused by other conditions. A physiotherapist is a healthcare personnel with professional autonomy who plans and implements a physiotherapy and rehabilitation program aimed at improving function and functional capacity according to the diagnosis of the specialist physician, and plans appropriate exercises and preventive programs in order to maintain the health of healthy people. Physiotherapists, who have a wide field of work in public and private institutions, can also work as researchers by completing their scientific expertise and doctoral studies after graduation. They can also work as lecturers in physiotherapy and rehabilitation departments and basic medicine departments of medical faculties.
