Course Content
Basic concepts of sports and physical activity, exercise physiology, components of physical fitness, athlete health, classification and prevention of sports injuries, acute and chronic sports injuries, sports nutrition, hydration, doping, exercise prescription, physical activity in children, adults and older adults, exercise in chronic diseases, sports rehabilitation, pre-participation evaluation, and safe sports practices.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge about the effects of sports and physical activity on human health, the preventive and therapeutic role of exercise, mechanisms of sports injuries, injury prevention and rehabilitation approaches, exercise prescription principles, and safe physical activity practices across different age groups.
