Objectives of the Course
To examine the role of complementary and native treatment methods in health and to define the effects of native treatment methods for selected clinical conditions.

1 Introduction to the course; concepts of complementary and alternative therapies and their place in physiotherapy and rehabilitation
2 Ethics, patient safety, indications and contraindications in complementary and alternative therapies
3 Hirudotherapy: Definition, mechanisms of action, areas of use, risks and complications
4 Cupping Therapy: Dry and wet cupping applications, physiological effects, indications and contraindications
5 Mesotherapy: Basic principles, areas of application, evaluation in terms of effectiveness and safety
6 Reflexology: Theoretical foundations, application areas, clinical uses and level of evidence
7 Ozone Therapy: Mechanism of action, application methods, areas of use and safety principles
8 Midterm Exam
9 Prolotherapy: Basic principles, use in musculoskeletal disorders and level of evidence
10 Acupuncture: Traditional and modern approaches, pain management and use in rehabilitation
