Course Content
Amputation, amputation reasons, levels, congenital limb deficiency, partial hand and foot prostheses, prosthesis applications and component selection according to upper and lower extremity amputation levels, static and dynamic adjustment of prosthesis, control mechanisms, gait problems in lower extremity amputees, early and temporary prosthesis myoelectric prostheses, advanced technological prosthesis applications and amputee rehabilitation
Objectives of the Course
To give information about the mechanical foundations of prosthesis, types of prosthesis, indications, applications, modifications and possible complications; to understand the rehabilitation of amputee. To gain the ability to plan and apply the appropriate treatment program for amputees.
