Course Content
Psychosocial rehabilitation, health, disability, disability, concepts of disability, post-accident psychosocial rehabilitation, stress, post traumatic stress syndrome, psychosocial rehabilitation for the visually and hearing impaired, psychosocial rehabilitation for the physically disabled, psychosocial rehabilitation for the disabled children, psychosocial rehabilitation for chronic diseases, institutions related to the disabled, employment of the disabled, the roles of local governments, environmental regulations are included in the course content.
Objectives of the Course
The main aim of the course is to direct the rehabilitation program by taking into account the psychosocial situation of the disabled people that physiotherapy students will encounter in clinical work. The content of the course; disability, disability and disability terms, causes leading to disability, stages of adaptation to disability, personality development in disabled children, psychosocial approaches in visually impaired people, psychosocial approaches in hearing-speech disabled people, psychosocial approaches in neuromuscular and traumatic disorders, psychosocial approaches in mentally disabled people.
