Course Content
This course gives importance to the skills of making presentations and writing articles in a foreign language, so students will take lessons in this frame.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable our students to express themselves in English (written and verbal) both during their university education and after graduation.

1 Breaking the ice. Explaining the targets and possible gains of the course.
2 Talking about academic disciplines. Simple Present Tense + to infinitive.
3 Reading the textbooks. Taking notes from a text.
4 Understanding the features of a web page. Preparing a presentation about the web page.
5 Writing descriptive sentences. Academic language: Noun phrases
6 Writing a descriptive paragraph. Using linking language (in addition, because, so, and, but)
7 Watching a lecture about olympics and transportation. Making notes while and after watching.
8 Midterm exams
9 Learning comparative and superlative adjectives.
10 Understanding a chart/table and making comments on it. Using academic language while making comments.
11 Watching a lecture about biomimetics. Making notes while and after watching. Writing definition sentences.
