Course Content
Cell organelles and nucleus, cell cycle and cell division, genetic materials, DNA and chromosomes, RNA control of gene expression, epigenetics, protein synthesis, structure and function, mutations, repair and apoptosis, molecular techniques in food analysis, Mendelian genetics, morphological characteristics of chromosomes, chromosomal disorders, autosomal dominant and recessive inheritance, multifactorial inheritance, mitochondrial inheritance, sex-linked inheritance, population genetics, food allergies, cancer cell development.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is; the student will be able to teach the bases of genetic and medical biology, the tasks and mechanisms of hereditary materials.
