1 Information about miniatures, what miniatures mean, an introduction to Turkish miniature art; styles according to periods and examples of miniatures,
2 What are the subjects of miniature art, how is it created, and what materials are used in miniature art?
3 What are the sources and origins of Turkish-Islamic miniature art? An examination with examples.
4 The beginnings of Turkish-Islamic painting and the first illuminated manuscripts.
5 The prohibition of depiction in Turkish-Islamic art and its effects on miniature art.
6 Illuminated manuscripts from the Seljuk period dealing with science and technology,
7 Miniature manuscripts from the Anatolian Seljuk period,
8 Midterm Exam
9 Ilkhanid, Jalayirid, and Muzaffarid period miniature manuscripts,
10 Timurid, Turkmen, and Safavid period illuminated manuscripts.
11 The early stages of Ottoman miniature art.
12 The classical phases of Ottoman miniature art involve examining original designs consisting of stylized plant and animal figures, and conducting practical studies based on examples.
