Bu derste antik çağlardan günümüze Ortadoğu kentlerinde çeşitli işlevlere sahip kamu yapılarının mimari özellikleri, yapım teknikleri ve malzemeleri anlatılacaktır. Ayrıca orta doğu şehirlerindeki dini yapıların evrimi incelenecektir.
