Course Content
Critical architectural/spatial readings and discussions will be held every week on different themes and selected literary works. The themes to be discussed in this context include spatio-temporality, criticism of modernity, suburban life, capitalist space, utopia-dystopias.
Objectives of the Course
This course will study how time, space, and people are represented in literature and architecture. At the intersection of these two areas, the predetermined themes will be examined at. Through the spirit of the eras and philosophical/intellectual turning points, it seeks to critically investigate literature, the thresholds in the evolution of architecture, and the city.
