Course Content
This course covers essential knowledge on the definition of physical environmental factors, natural and man-made environmental influences, the impacts of climate, topography, and vegetation, statistical properties of climatic data, the significance of the physical environment in building and settlement design, planning criteria based on the natural environment, and examples of buildings and settlements designed with consideration of both natural and man-made environmental factors.
Objectives of the Course
This course aims to obtain architectural design principles to achieve optimal solutions for thermal comfort and minimal energy consumption in urban planning and building construction.
