Course Content
In this course, the origins of the understanding of coexistence in Turkish-Islamic culture will be emphasized. The function performed by knowledge within society in ensuring the harmony and sustainability of the understanding of coexistence will be examined. By analyzing the concept of "madrasah,"which means the place where lessons are held, the Karatay Madrasa—our university's source of inspiration—will be analyzed with its socio-cultural dimensions.
Objectives of the Course
At the end of this lesson, the student will be able to learn what Turkish-Islamic civilization has contributed to the individual and society, how and in what context Turkish-Islamic culture will provide optimal benefit in making humans social beings, and that the culture of living together is not limited to the present but also encompasses the past and the future.
