Week 1: Introduction to operating room safety
Week 2: Physical structure and layout of the operating room
Week 3: Ventilation and air conditioning systems in the operating room
Week 4: Principles of asepsis and antisepsis
Week 5: Decontamination, disinfection, and sterilization processes
Week 6: Surgical team roles and surgical control list (WHO Surgical Safety Checklist)
Week 7: Patient safety: Right patient, right site, right procedure
Week 8: Surgical counting procedures
Week 9: Patient positioning and safety in the operating room
Week 10: Electrosurgical devices and safety (cautery and electrical safety)
Week 11: Sharps injuries and prevention of occupational accidents
Week 12: Hazardous materials and radiation safety
Week 13: Fire and disaster management in the operating room
Week 14: General evaluation and review of operating room safety practices
