Course Content
Entry into the operating room and basic concepts, operating room architecture and physical layout, operating room staff members and their roles, principles of asepsis, antisepsis, and sterilization in the operating room, prevention of surgical site infections, surgical handwashing and donning techniques, operating room supplies and surgical instruments, preparation of surgical sets, preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative processes, patient safety and operating room safety, surgical positioning, devices and technologies used in the operating room, operating room management and organization, and team communication and ethical principles are covered.
Objectives of the Course
To enhance knowledge and skills regarding the physical structure and functional characteristics of the operating room, as well as the technological equipment used in the operating room and their applications.
