Course Content
Basic concepts related to Patient Safety, Purpose, importance and legal aspects of patient safety, Patient safety culture, National and International patient safety targets, Safe drug practices, Safe surgical practices, Infection errors and their prevention, Infection errors and their prevention, Prevention of patient falls, Depending on restrictions prevention of injuries and deaths, Frequent Medical Errors in Pre-Hospital Emergency Health Services and the Concept of Malpractice, Ethical responsibilities in terms of Patient Safety, Teamwork and Communication in Patient Safety, Incident notifications and patient handover in Patient Safety
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to be able to identify possible risks to patient safety in healthcare institutions, to define unexpected events within the scope of patient safety in hospitals, and to apply the necessary strategies to prevent unexpected events and errors in healthcare institutions.
