Course Content
Introduction to Case-Based Learning, Risk Factors at Home, Respiratory Problems, Cardiac Emergencies, Hypoglycemia and Diabetic Emergencies, Poisonings, Burns and Electric Shocks, Falls and Traumas, Neurological Emergencies, Respiratory and Circulatory Arrest, Childhood Emergencies, Psychological Crises and Panic Situations. Having knowledge about basic first aid and emergency response practices.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to develop students' skills in responding quickly, safely and effectively to emergencies in the home environment. Students gain the competence to apply patient assessment, risk analysis, patient safety, team communication and appropriate emergency care steps through case scenarios.
