Course Content
Fundamental principles of technical drawing, standard line types, geometric constructions, orthographic views, sectional views, and dimensioning rules. Introduction to computer-aided design, SolidWorks interface, sketch creation and editing, basic solid modeling commands (Extrude, Revolve, Sweep, and Loft), hole creation, fillet and chamfer operations, assembly modeling, sheet metal modeling, flat pattern generation, and technical drawing sheet preparation.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach students the principles of technical drawing and to develop their skills in creating two-dimensional technical drawings and three-dimensional solid models of machine parts using computer-aided design software. Students are expected to learn basic modeling commands, assembly operations, sheet metal modeling, and technical drawing preparation methods
