Program Requirements

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) are the those describing what the graduates are expected to attain or achieve in their academic and/or professional life after a few years of graduation. In this context, Programme Educational Objectives defined for this programme are as follows:

P1) Acquires fundamental, up-to-date, and practice-oriented knowledge related to the profession and uses it effectively.
P2) Gains knowledge about occupational health and safety and quality processes.
P3) Effectively uses information technologies (software, programs, animation, etc.) related to their profession.
P4) Evaluates professional problems and issues independently, using an analytical and critical approach, and proposes solutions.
P5) Presents their ideas through written and oral communication, expressing them clearly at the level of their knowledge and skills.
P6) Assumes responsibility as a team member for resolving complex, unforeseen problems encountered in field-related applications.
P7) Engages in career planning and adopts a lifelong learning approach.
P8) Upholds societal, scientific, cultural, and ethical values during the stages of data collection, evaluation, and the dissemination of results within their field.
P9) Uses a foreign language to keep up with information in their field and communicate with colleagues.
P10) Possesses awareness regarding the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
P11) Possesses awareness regarding digitalization, environmental consciousness, the green transition, and sustainability.
P12) Identifies machine elements and materials; selects appropriate manufacturing methods.
P13) Explains quality control methods.
P14) It detects faults in machine systems and performs maintenance operations.
P15) Performs basic static and strength calculations for mechanical systems.
P16) Draws manufacturing drawings of machine parts using computer-aided design software, in accordance with technical drawing standards.
P17) Explains hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
P18) Ability to express connections between at least two different non-subject-specific courses that contribute to the individual's general culture
P19) Uses a foreign language at the general level of the European Language Portfolio A1-A1+ level
P20) Being able to explain the process from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic of Turkey in broad terms and determine its position in world history
P21) To understand the civilization to which our nation belongs, to act with professional ethics, and to have a sense of social responsibility.
P22) Becoming proficient in identifying and correcting expression errors that may occur in written and spoken forms of the Turkish language, producing meaningful speech texts with correct sentences, and scientific research methods
P23) Selects and uses appropriate methods and tools related to occupational health and safety to solve problems encountered in creating a healthy and safe working environment.
P24) Students' ability to solve problems encountered in their academic and professional lives by using information technologies effectively and efficiently
