Objectives of the Course
To introduce the basic concepts of business and business administration to students who receive business education, to enable them to look at business internal and external environments with a broad and holistic perspective.

| 1 | The text provides information about the definition of a business, the historical development of business management, and the concepts of need, goods, services, production, utility, and value. |
| 2 | The company's core and specific objectives, as well as internal and external environmental factors (economic, legal, political, technological, international environment), are discussed. |
| 3 | Business types are described according to their size, capital ownership, field of activity, and legal structure. |
| 4 | Establishment conditions of single-person businesses, sole proprietorship companies (collective, limited partnership), capital companies (A.Ş., Ltd. Şti.) and cooperatives are explained. |
| 5 | Information is provided about the investment idea, feasibility study, economic-technical-financial-legal research, and establishment phases. |
| 6 | The functions of businesses are explained holistically. It begins with the production function. An introduction to production systems, types of production, quality, inventory, and supply management is provided. |
| 7 | After defining management, exploring the development of management thought, and introducing the functions of planning and organization, a review of the topics will be conducted before the midterm exam. |

| 9 | 216 Midterm exam questions are discussed. Statistical information regarding exam results is shared. The discussion continues with the management function. Directing (executing), coordinating, and controlling functions, and the decision-making process are explained. |
| 10 | The concepts of marketing, the marketing mix (4Ps), market segmentation, and the role of marketing in foreign trade are explained. |
| 11 | HR functions include recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and compensation. |
| 12 | The concepts of R&D and Innovation Management are discussed through the concept of innovation. |
| 13 | The funding sources, basic financial statements, and the role of accounting in the business are explained. |
| 14 | A general topic is reviewed. A discussion topic related to business analysis is selected and discussed, with guidance that allows for the formation of inferences. |
