Course Content
Geotechnical research methods. Experiments carried out in the field: standard penetration test, cone penetration test, pressure gauge test, field vane test and land permeability test. Determination of field geotechnical properties using field experiments. The use of field experiments in shallow and deep foundation designs.
Objectives of the Course
To design the field experiments necessary to find the real values of the soil parameters in the field, to apply them in the field and to use the results in the basic designs.
