Course Content
This course focuses on the importance of critical thinking and the main problems of philosophy. The course will primarily focus on the contribution of philosophy to the individual and society, its relationship with science, religion and art, the characteristics of philosophical knowledge, the concept of critical thinking, the analysis and synthesis of events and facts with a critical view. Then, discussions will be conducted on existence, the value of human beings, morality and ethics, being a professional, and the role of philosophy and critical thinking in solving some of the problems that social workers may encounter.
Objectives of the Course
To enable students to meet philosophical questions and problems, to acquire knowledge about the subjects and currents of philosophy, to recognize the ways of thinking and reasoning specific to philosophy, to develop critical thinking skills and to look at problems critically.
