Course Content
This course covers the theoretical foundations of neuropsychological assessment and the measurement tools used in practice. The course examines the rationale for assessment according to cognitive domains, test selection, administration, and interpretation, normative data, concepts of validity and reliability, and ethical principles. The aim is for students to evaluate test results in the context of clinical settings and individual histories rather than as isolated scores.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach the basic principles of measurement tools used in neuropsychological assessment and to enable students to acquire the ability to comprehensively evaluate cognitive functions in a clinical context. The course aims to instill the understanding that tests are used to support the clinical decision-making process, not to make a diagnosis on their own.
