Course Content
This course examines the fundamental concepts, theories, and research areas of political psychology from an interdisciplinary perspective. The course covers research methods in political psychology, including topics such as political attitudes, behaviors, and decision-making processes of individuals and groups; identity, ideology, leadership, polarization, collective action, and political participation.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable students to learn the basic theoretical approaches and concepts of political psychology and to analyze individual and collective political attitudes and behaviors from a psychological perspective. The course aims to develop students' ability to evaluate political processes in the context of identity, ideology, emotion, cognition, and group dynamics, and to interpret current political and social phenomena from a critical perspective.
