Introduction to Social Psychology, Basic Concepts in Social Psychology, Social Perception and Attribution, Social Cognition, Self and Social Identity, Attitude and Attitude Change, Dissonance, Prejudice and Intergroup Relationships,
Objectives of the Course
This course has characteristics of introduction to social psychology. Objective of the course is to bring the students in insight about their social relationships associating socialization process of the individual, interindividual and intergroup relationships. On this purpose, it is aimed to focuse on basic social psychological themes such as classical experiments of social psychology literature, attitudes, attitude change, social identity, social influence, self, intergroup relationships with their examples.
