Course Content
This course provides a comprehensive exploration of the concept of civilization and the historical development of the Ahi organization. Topics will include the philosophical foundations of civilization, the significance of Ahilik in Turkish-Islamic civilization, and the impact of Ahi principles on economic and social life. The course will also cover the organizational structure of Ahilik, its educational system, trade ethics, employer-employee relations, and the potential for Ahilik to be considered as a model in today's world.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach students the fundamental dynamics of Turkish-Islamic civilization and help them understand the role of the Ahi organization in social, economic, and cultural life. Students will explore the philosophy, principles, and practices of Ahilik within the framework of civilization concepts, gaining insights into its historical and contemporary impacts. Furthermore, the course will discuss the historical development of the concept of civilization and evaluate how Ahilik can serve as a model in the modern world.
