Course Content
The Research Methods course covers a broad range of topics essential to conducting effective business research. Key areas of study include the research process, problem formulation, and the development of research questions and hypotheses. Students will learn about different research designs, including exploratory, descriptive, and causal research, as well as the distinction between qualitative and quantitative methods. The course will cover data collection techniques such as surveys, interviews, and observation, as well as data analysis methods such as statistical analysis and thematic analysis. Through practical exercises, case studies, and a final research project, students will gain hands-on experience applying research methods to real-world business problems.
Objectives of the Course
"The aim of the Research Methods course is to give students a thorough understanding of the methodologies and techniques used in business research. This course aims to equip students with the skills needed to design, conduct, and analyze research projects that address complex business problems. Covering both qualitative and quantitative research methods, students will be prepared to critically evaluate existing research, formulate research questions, collect and analyze data, and present their findings effectively. The course emphasizes the importance of ethics and scientific rigor in conducting business research."
