Course Content
In the content of this course, the scope of labour law, the sources of labour law, the concepts of employee and employer and employee-employer relations are discussed. Basic issues such as the establishment, termination and consequences of the employment contract, working hours, rest rights and wage rights are covered. Occupational health and safety, the employer's obligations regarding occupational health and occupational accidents are also addressed. In addition, within the scope of collective labour law, trade unions, collective bargaining processes and strike-arbitration methods are important components of the course. This course provides students with a general knowledge of labour law and helps them to act in accordance with legal regulations in business life.
Objectives of the Course
This course aims to teach students the basic concepts of labour law and the rights and obligations of the parties to the employment relationship. Within the framework of labour law, it is aimed to examine the legislation related to the protection of employee and employer rights, occupational safety and health, regulation of working conditions and employment contract. Students learn the legal processes and ways of claiming rights that they may encounter in business life by acquiring basic knowledge in the field of labour law.
