Course Content
The course begins with an introduction to the basic functions of Excel for financial modelling. Analysing financial statements, editing data, creating formulas and effective use of Excel functions are covered. Modelling of financial statements such as balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement, ratio analysis, trend analysis, forecasting models, budgeting, risk analysis and sensitivity analysis are focused. Students learn scenario analysis, financial projections, company valuation models and data visualisation techniques in Excel. This content helps students to develop Excel-based financial modelling skills and to analyse financial analyses they may encounter in business life.
Objectives of the Course
This course aims to teach students financial modelling processes through Excel applications. It is aimed to develop basic financial modelling techniques and Excel skills to support financial decision making and analysis processes. Students learn to create financial models such as financial statement analysis, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, valuation, risk analysis. This course provides competencies in financial analysis, data visualisation and simulating complex financial situations.
