Course Content
The content of the course starts with the concept of budget, the purpose and importance of budgeting in enterprises. Basic budget types such as revenue budget, expense budget, cash flow budget and capital budget are introduced. The stages of the budgeting process, budgeting techniques (zero-based budgeting, activity-based budgeting, etc.) and factors to be considered in the budget preparation process are discussed. In addition, the role of budgets in monitoring and controlling business performance, analysing budget deviations and corrective measures are emphasised. Students learn the integration of budgets with strategic planning and understand the importance of budgeting in business management.
Objectives of the Course
This course aims to teach students the business budgeting process and the role of budgets on financial management. The course covers budget types, budgeting methods and the importance of budgets in planning and control processes. Students will gain knowledge about budgeting techniques and budget analyses in order to manage business resources effectively. The course provides students with an understanding of how budgets can be used as a strategic tool for businesses to achieve their short and long term goals.
