Course Content
Definition of woven fabrics, classification of weaving, basic weaving movements for fabric making.
Objectives of the Course
General information about the fabric structures used in the textile industry is given. Information on the definition of the fabric, its qualities, production features, and the types of looms it is produced are conveyed. In the light of this information, the basic structures of woven and knitted fabrics, types of woven and knitted fabrics, their properties and usage areas are examined in detail. In addition, basic weaving knitting reports and their derivatives are explained, color and knitting and patterning methods, drawing-in, dobby and carding reports are taught, and the information is supported by making fabric analyzes. At the end of this process, students are ready for the weaving phase.
