Course Content
Getting acquainted, giving information about the general flow of the course and explaining the work to be done. Description, brief history, classification and local characteristics of plain weaves. To make local researches in museums and collections by introducing the basic sources. Anatolian motif knowledge, discussion and drawing of the meanings of these motifs. Projecting pattern designs according to the determined regions. Determination and drawing of composition schemes in local weavings.
Objectives of the Course
The prevailing plain weaves (kilim, cicim zili, sumak) and local plain weaves are introduced. The introduction and introduction of Anatolian motifs and the meanings of these motifs are taught. Technical and design features of these weavings are taught. Technical and pattern analyzes are made in accordance with these techniques. New designs are prepared by making use of selected original documentation application examples.
