Course Content
Description of soil mechanics, physical properties of soil, consistency limits, soil granulometry and classification, ground water and soil permeability, stress distribution on the ground, consolidation of soil and design of solution of ground problems according to project loads.
Objectives of the Course
To introduce the ground as an engineering material, to calculate the physical properties of the ground, the consistency limits, to make laboratory experiments of ground granulometry, to make the ground classification. To calculate the permeability of ground water, to determine the stresses occurring in an integrity in the ground-structure relationship, to make the solution and application of the ground problem by determining the factors affecting the ground properties.
