Medical Imaging Techniques Program started accepting students in the 2017-2018 academic year. Medical Imaging Laboratory was established in the 2018-2019 academic year. Education and training continues with the Medical Imaging Laboratory. The mission of the Medical Imaging Technician Program is; To train qualified health technicians who can contribute to the development of our country by upholding professional ethical values, following innovations, prioritizing human health, and equipped with knowledge and skills. Its vision is; Our aim is to be a nationally and internationally recognized program whose graduates are mentioned successfully in the public and private sectors. In this program, students receive intensive training in basic medical sciences throughout their education. This training forms the infrastructure of students' vocational courses. As vocational training, patient approach training is given on subjects such as radiation (X-rays) and radiation protection, the structure and use of medical imaging devices, practical training and evaluation per device, information about the diseases they may encounter, and welcoming patients in radiology departments. Students do an internship for 20 working days during the summer. In addition, students receive vocational training in the Radiology Departments of Private and Public Hospitals during the semester. With the education they receive, students can gain the awareness to practice their profession by strictly adhering to medical ethics and deontological rules and respecting patient rights at all times and under all circumstances. In addition, when high-tech systems are used in radiology departments, these systems can create high-quality images at the lowest radiation dose by ensuring radiation safety.
