Energy management is a discipline structured and organized around the efficient use of energy without sacrificing product quality, safety or environmental conditions and without reducing production. It adopts the principle of minimizing the amount of energy consumed without hindering economic development and social welfare and without reducing quality and performance by utilizing energy waste, increasing energy efficiency and preventing existing energy losses.

The Department of Energy Management, the first of its kind at the undergraduate level in Turkey, trains qualified managers in areas such as field management, sectoral relations and sustainability. Projects such as natural gas exploration activities in the Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean, Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, Konya Karapınar Solar Power Plant, which our country has carried out in recent years, show that the interest in energy is increasing and there is a need for qualified graduates in this field. KTO Karatay University is among the most unique universities in Turkey in this field with its Energy Management Department and the exemplary projects carried out.

Our students graduate from our university as individuals with a holistic perspective and high managerial performance in the field of energy. In this direction, they work in various positions such as energy manager, energy specialist, energy application specialist, energy saving specialist, auditor and energy sales specialist in public institutions and private enterprises, especially in renewable energy plants such as solar energy and wind energy.
