The mechanical engineer conducts training, research and study on the design, development, production, maintenance and repair of all kinds of mechanical systems and energy conversion systems with the most general definition. Therefore, it has a wide working area. Mechanical engineers can find work opportunities in every sector from factories, shanties, power plants, research centers to manufacturing industry energy sector, construction sector chemical industry, drug industry defense industry, automotive industry and white goods industry. Today, the need for mechanical engineers continues to increase and supply remains behind demand. Given that further emphasis will be placed on R & D activities in the future, it is known that the demand for mechanical engineers will continue to increase, with developments in the new industry, developments in old industries and renewable energy sources.
The curriculum, academic and industrial approaches we offer as KTO Karatay University Department of Mechanical Engineering are designed by taking design and production together and linking the products and processes to be solved to the problems faced by industry and society, which is the main objective of engineering. Our programs, which will be strong in terms of technology development and innovation with the design oriented program, will be able to work in firms and establishments of all sectors as well as industries that concentrate on advanced technology materials from basic and applied research institutes and also have the opportunity to work in companies they own.
