About Programme

Mechanical Engineering is a broad field that combines fields such as Mechanics, Machine Theory and Dynamics, System Dynamics, Fluid mechanics, Heat and Energy systems in order to design and produce useful products. Mechanical Engineering field; It was created to meet current needs in sectors such as machinery, manufacturing, defense systems, automotive, engines and systems used in engines. In such sectors, both the design and R&D phase and the manufacturing phase require high engineering employment. Nowadays, there is an increasing need for mechanical engineers for the development, operation and maintenance of high-tech systems in such sectors.

The academic activities of the Mechanical Engineering Master's Program are designed to enable students to improve themselves in their professions and to contribute to the common good of our country. Innovative and original academic activities will be paved with graduate courses to be opened by experienced faculty in sub-fields such as mechanics, automation, manufacturing, automotive, bio-medical, signal processing, communication, industrial control and defense technologies. It is seen that there is an increasing need for qualified engineers who are experts in their fields in the machinery manufacturing and defense industries. In addition, within the scope of this program, the mechatronics thesis master's program, which continues education within our university, thanks to the partnership between courses and academicians; Opportunities will be offered to operate and specialize in subjects such as embedded and real-time data collection, human-machine interfaces, ergonomics, medical and surgical devices, power electronics, smart systems and wearable systems. Graduate students will be able to benefit from the smart technologies center (AKITEK), vocational training center and comprehensive laboratory facilities within the university, and use these facilities in their studies that require experimentation and application.
