Course Content
This course increases English awareness and places emphasis on students' internalisation of academic reading, listening-based communicative skills and critical thinking.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable our students to express themselves in written and spoken English and to understand what they read, both during their university education and after graduation.

2 Speaking on "Countries, nationalities, languages". Introduction to the verb "to be". Creating dialogues on "Jobs". Introduction to "Subject Pronouns". (Unit 1.1 and 1.2)
3 Covering the "Everyday Objects" section. Introduction to "Possessive adjectives." Introduction to "Cardinal and ordinal numbers." How to tell time and date (Unit 1.3 and 1.4)
4 Working on the "Shops and Products" section. Creating dialogues about shopping. "Shopping phrases." A general review of the first unit. (Unit 1.5)
5 Speaking about "Clothes". What are "demonstrative pronouns"? Creating dialogues about leisure activities. Making affirmative sentences with "Simple Present Tense". (Unit 2.1 and 2.2)
6 Talking about "family members". How to use "Have got/Has got"? Some collocations with "take" and "go". Making negative sentences and asking questions with the Simple Present Tense. (Unit 2.3 and 2.4)
