Course Content
This course examines the definitions of quality, its historical development, and the evolution of the quality management concept. Statistical quality control methods, total quality control, and quality assurance systems are discussed. The ISO 9001:2000 standard and its documentation structure are introduced. The philosophy of Total Quality Management (TQM), the principle of continuous improvement, and various problem-solving techniques (cause-and-effect diagrams, check sheets, histograms, Pareto analysis, scatter diagrams, box plots) are taught through practical applications. At the end of the course, the concept of standardization and examples of quality management practices are evaluated.
Objectives of the Course
The course content includes the historical development of standardization, relevant organizations and their activities, quality, quality control, total quality management, problem-solving methods, new quality tools, quality assurance systems, and profession-specific standards.
