WEEK 1 WHAT IS LANGUAGE@f12 HOW WAS THE BIRTH OF LANGUAGES@f13 Definition of language, its features, its place in people's life. Theories put forward since the past on the birth of languages. WEEK 2 LANGUAGES ON THE EARTH AND LANGUAGE TYPES Classification of the languages @f14@f15in the world in terms of origin and structure, the main language families accepted to exist, spoken language and written language. The emergence of the Turkish language on the stage of history, the periods of the Turkish language that can and cannot be followed with documents, the main works and figures in the periods that can be followed with documents. WEEK 4 MAJOR ALPHABETS USED BY TURKS-CURRENT STATUS OF TURKISH LANGUAGE The main alphabets used by the Turks throughout history, the current state of the Turkish language and its spreading areas in the world, living Turkish dialects. WEEK 5 SOUNDS IN TURKISH AND SOUND FEATURES OF TURKISH (PHONETICS) Classification of sounds in Turkish from various aspects, sound properties of Turkish words, phonetic events in Turkish. WEEK 6 VOCABULARY (MORPHOLOGY) Definition of the word, root and suffix concept, construction and inflectional suffixes, word types in terms of quality and function. Definition of sentence WEEK 8 WRITING RULES-1 Where capital letters are used WEEK 9 WRITING RULES-2 Writing compound words WEEK 10 PUNITIONING SIGNS-1 Uses of periods, commas, semicolons, ellipsis, question marks, exclamation marks, dashes, dashes, slashes, quotation marks, apostrophes, and 'from' and examples of their use. WEEK 11 ORAL COMPOSITION TYPES Definition and main features of oral composition types such as speeches, conferences, interviews, panels, seminars, debates. Information sources according to their form and characteristics. Researching information resources and using the library. WEEK 13 SCIENTIFIC ARTICLE PREPARATION TECHNIQUES Main scientific terms such as theory, law, principle, system, method. Definition of scientific writing and the plan of scientific research. Important points about style, citation and reference in scientific research. Main literary periods and movements in our literature such as Tanzimat, Servet-i Fünûn, Fecr-i Atî, National Literature. The course of the main literary genres such as poetry, theatre, novel and story after the Republic.

To bring the love and consciousness of mother tongue to our young people who are studying in different fields in accordance with the constantly advancing conditions of the age. Correct, beautiful and effective use of language, which is necessary in every field of life and in every profession. To equip students with the ability to express themselves adequately and clearly in every field. To enlighten individuals who are equipped with contemporary knowledge in terms of language and literature history.
