Course Content
This course is designed to emphasize the importance and use of better speech. Students will learn to check their diction and pronunciation and practice in various speech forms.
Objectives of the Course
This course aims to assist students in developing diction, intonation and interpretation. Complementary conditions for the course; will be able to speak with better diction, intonation and pronunciation. Students will improve their playing and speaking skills at the microphone. It is also among the necessary for obtaining information on communication.

1 The importance of language and diction in communication, the content and purpose of the course, information about the resources to be used in the course.
2 Physiological and mental realization stages of speech, Characteristics of a good speaker, speech defects, Practices to see students' deficiencies in speech.
3 Common diction errors, features of sounds in Turkish, voices and consonants, constriction feature of Turkish language, conjunctions in Turkish language, applications of conjunctions over texts
4 Stress in Turkish language, working through text, breathing practices as one of the three basic elements of speech, articulation as the second component of speech, rhyme practices, sound as the third component of speech, sound practices
5 Emotional situations (excitement, fear, shyness, etc.) and their control practices during the conversation
6 Application through news and program texts
7 Creative drama and improvised speech practice
8 Written measurement
9 Body language in speech, applications of body language
10 Prepared and unprepared speech types, speaking practices appropriate to the types
