From the 20th century to the present day, when we examine the course of art, we see that the artist, as a witness of his/her own age, is influenced by the scientific and technological innovations developing in the world and presents new understandings and forms of presentation. Today's artist assumes a role that utilizes, questions and interprets the new devices, mediums, tools and possibilities that modern technologies offer to human life. In the post-industrial process, artistic practices, which evolved in a completely different direction with informational devices, multimedia and assemblies, seem to have opened different channels of sensation and perception, which are characterized as "new media". New Media Art and its Origins course will try to interpret how art interacts with technology and the artistic propositions put forward by artists with electronic media throughout the 20th century.

To examine the artistic experiences and new perception patterns created with technological data by revealing the relationship between technology and art in the modern and post-modern period.
