Course Content
This course covers the introduction to radar systems, the basic radar equation, and electromagnetic wave propagation. Continuous wave (CW), pulsed, and Doppler radar architectures, radar cross-section (RCS) of targets, moving target indicator (MTI), basic antenna systems, and transmitter/receiver hardware structures constitute the main content of the course.
Objectives of the Course
To introduce the fundamental operating principles and hardware components of radar systems; to demonstrate how electromagnetic waves are utilized in target detection, range measurement, and tracking operations.
