Course Content
Bu ders, öğrencilerin akademik metinlerle etkileşime girmelerini sağlayarak, alanlarında akademik ve teknik terminolojinin hem aktif hem de pasif bilgilerini tam olarak edinmelerine yardımcı olmayı amaçlamaktadır. Öğrenciler mühendislik bilimlerinden yüksek ilgi alanlarını okuyor. Ders ayrıca, tarama, çıkarım, grafikler ve tablolar ile çalışma ve bağlam ipuçlarını tanımak gibi akademik sınıfla ilgili okuma becerilerini geliştirmeye büyük önem vermektedir. Buna ek olarak, öğrenciler İngilizce metinleri eleştirel bir yaklaşım için gerekli olan becerileri geliştirir, belirtilen veya ima edilen fikirleri ve değerleri anlar, yazarların fikirlerini kendileri ile karşılaştırırlar.
Objectives of the Course
The central basis of ENG 112 is to consolidate students'academic and critical approach to thinking, reading, speaking, writing and language usage, as initiated in ENG 112. In addition, students further develop their reading skills relevant to the academic classroom.
