Course Content
This course covers fundamental concepts of microeconomics. Topics include demand and supply, consumer and producer theory, market equilibrium, elasticities, production and cost functions, and the analysis of different market structures (perfect competition, monopoly, monopolistic competition, and oligopoly). Additionally, the course addresses welfare economics, externalities, and government intervention.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the tools of microeconomic analysis and help them understand the behavior of individual consumers, producers, and markets. Students will learn fundamental microeconomic concepts such as demand and supply, market equilibrium, cost theory, production theory, and market structures. Additionally, decision-making processes, the efficient allocation of resources, and the impact of price mechanisms on the economy will be analyzed.
