Course Content
This course aims to introduce the fundamental dynamics of the Islamic financial system and the functioning of Islamic capital markets. Topics covered include Sharia-compliant financial products and instruments (such as sukuk, Islamic investment funds, murabaha, and ijara). Additionally, Islamic financial institutions, Islamic indices, risk management, Sharia-compliant auditing processes, and the role of Islamic capital markets within the global financial system will be discussed. Students will learn to compare Islamic financial instruments with conventional ones and understand the theoretical and practical foundations of Islamic capital markets.
Objectives of the Course
The capital markets play an important role in promoting an efficient financial system. This course focuses on the Islamic Capital Markets and explains its functions, objectives, components such as Sukuk Markets, Shariah Compliant Stocks, Islamic Funds, etc., growth and development, key requisites.
