Course Content
Modernization movements at the Ottoman central bureaucracy and the local administration in the 19th century. Establishment of municipality, provincial and district administrations.
Objectives of the Course
Examination of the Ottoman reforms from the 19th century in the light of the causes and consequences and analyzing the movements of ideas that emerged along with the westernization process.
